You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

Will Spring Ever Come?

Well, after receiving 6 new inches of snow yesterday, I am starting to wonder if spring will ever come to Western New York.  The snow reminded me, however, that I haven't shared any ski pictures this year.  We had another fabulous ski season.  Hannah learned to snowboard which was slow going at first, but quickly improved.

I am still in awe that I am able to ski again, just one of the many blessings God has bestowed upon me!

Hannah and I practiced our lizard annihilation skills (remember, our girls' group is called the Lizard Annihilators)

He was a BIG one, but I think with our combined strength we took him down!

What an amazing winter!

I hope you are remembering to count your blessings each and every day!

St. Patrick's Day

Hello!  I am happy to report that I survived St. Patrick's Day.

Hannah and I traveled to 15 shows and participated in 2 parades.  We are beat this week!

How blessed am I to be able to do all of this!!!!!

Hello!

Thank you to those of you who have been patient with my cat post, I am not sure why the pictures were only working on some computers.

Just a quick update.  We are heading into Irish Dance hell week.  Hell for me, great fun for Hannah.  The girls will be dancing up a storm this week getting everyone in the St. Patrick's Day Spirit.  Hopefully I will have some pictures to share.

I am still fighting a cough.  Dr. Pilewski put me on a new antibiotic and I submitted a sputum sample yesterday, so hopefully by early next week we will know if there are any additional infections.

God bless you all!  Nancy

The Retreat was a Success!

Well, today I am asking myself if putting my health in jeopardy in order to have the girls' retreat was worth it.  Though I am feeling really lousy this week, I can say it was all worth it!  The girls had a great time and the Spirit was definitely present and working!  We will continue to meet regularly and I can't wait to see what God will choose to do with this amazing group of girls!  Thank you for your prayers, you helped to make it happen!

Check out some of the fun we had!
