You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

It's time to get in shape.

Well, I have decided I'm sick and tired of being exhausted and unmotivated, so my goal for this week (and many more to come) is to exercise each and every day. I started off with a bang, walking with Scott at lunch, now I just have to keep the momentum up, even when my body is whining NOOOOO!

I received word that my white count is finally high enough to have the Bronch., so we will head to Pittsburgh tomorrow and I will have it on Wednesday.

Things are improving, just not as quickly as I would want them to, how I pray for patience!

Hope you are all well! Love, Nancy

YEA on the walking. Have always thought it is as "cure" for depression; clearing the mind and giving you extra energy. So glad you are on your way!! Keep it going; it will get easier and you will look forward to it each day and NEVER want to miss one walk.
Good lucky with your Pittsburgh trip.
All our love,
Claire, Harley and the gang

YOU GO, GIRL! One step at a time! Exercise is great because it's a good way to gauge how you are really doing - as you can go longer distances you will realize that you are building strength! (This all coming from me - a couch potato!)

Good luck with your bronch. Please let us know if you need ANYTHING while you are here!

Yet an inspiration again Nancy. Walking and getting motivated to get into shape is exactly what I need to do as well. I hope your Bronch. went well today. Have a safe trip home. Looking forward to hearing how it went.
