You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

I miss all of you too!

Not a day goes by that someone doesn't ask me when I am going to post again.  I am humbled to know how much you all have been missing me.  I assure you, my absence has been for nothing but good reasons; life is awesome and I am loving living!

As many of you already know, I have gotten my life entangled with that of a younger man.  That intake of air you just took means you interpreted that in the wrong way.  I have been blessed and honored with the opportunity to help an amazing musician (Jason Dunn) grow his solo career.  Scott has taken a very supportive and integral role in this and has been such an amazing partner for me.

On top of this, I have had the opportunity to work with an amazing group of students in the local Donate Life groups in our area.  They have passion and drive and are making me so proud in all that they are accomplishing in their school.

Hannah has been home sick for almost two weeks with Mono.  Thankfully, after two months of unexplained illness, we finally have a diagnosis and she is starting to actually feel better.  She is in 8th grade this year and keeps me busy.  She has become very passionate about singing and will be attending an awesome Christian Music Camp this summer, Camp Electric, where she will take vocal lessons from some of her favorite artists.  Did I mention she will be travelling to Nashville, TN for this camp (all by herself!!!).  My baby is growing up.

This is the time of year when I get sick and stay sick.  Right now I have a nasty cold, so I have been trying to really lay low this week to recover from this.

I have a very special prayer request for all of you.  My dear friend and former Adult CF Nurse was put on the list today for a double lung transplant.  Jeanne has assisted many CF patients to get the gift of new life, now it is her turn.  No one deserves it more!  Please keep her in your prayers for a quick and successful transplant.  As always, please also give her future donor your prayers as well!

I haven't forgotten any of you, I have just been too busy living to spend too much time writing.  I have been greatly blessed and I send my love and prayers to all of you!  Nancy
