You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

To UPMC Tomorrow

Dear friends,

I started feeling lousy on Tuesday, before my IVs had even ended and by today, I am really down. I have been coughing a lot and am running a fever, so the decision has been made that I need to be hospitalized. My parents and I will leave for Pittsburgh first thing tomorrow morning. Please pray that I have not become resistant to the antibiotics I need.

Love to you all! Nancy

Nancy,
I am so glad that you got to be home for as long as you did. The hospital is where you need to be right now. Stay positive, stay strong, and keep your eyes on your goal ahead. Take good care and I hope that you feel better soon! My love and best wishes to you! I am praying extra hard for you! I love you Nancy!

Love,

Debbie

Praying for you and your family. I trully value all I have learned from you. You are an inspiration. Tell your mom and dad hello from me (even though I was so horrible of a teenager they would probably rather forget me :) )

All my love....

Dear Nancy,
We are praying right now that you will have the strength to fight this infection. We are praying that the antiobitics will do their jobs, and that you are not immune to them. Stay strong my friend! Keep that chin up, and stay positive! I'm going to have to come up with some really silly stories from the school days, so I know you'll get in a good laugh! The hospital is a good place to get you strong, so you can come home again! You are amazing Nancy!!

Love Always!

My friend,
My heart is with you at this very moment and will continue to be throughout this day and the next...and the next...and the next. I know you must feel discouraged, but you have incredible strength. Please be patient with yourself and know that God is listening to all of our prayers.
Love you, Nance!

Hi Nancy,
I'm a friend of Debbie's- I just wanted you to know I'll be praying for you too. Hang in there. You're stronger than you think, thanks to God's power at work in you. He's with you every step of the way, and we'll be praying for new lungs to come quickly and for the antibiotics to do their job!
God bless,
Jennifer
