You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

And the Oscar goes to...

My dear mother looks forward to the Oscars as others look forward to the Superbowl, so we have been planning our Oscar party all week.  We have the newspaper clipping with all the nominees, the snacks and ice cream ready, and wardrobe choices made to fit right in on the red carpet.

We took a trip to the mall today to walk, but as usual, we found some bargains we just couldn't pass up.  Very fitting for our Oscar celebration.  What do you think of our purchases, will we be red carpet worthy?

I actually never intended to purchase a dress today, but it was 50% off and I needed a new dress for a wedding we will be attending this summer.  Truth be told, I fell in love with it!  I hope you like it too.

GOOD DAY, hooray!  Love, Nancy

Hi Nancy!

O.K. that post just brought a huge smile to my face. That was hilarious! I LOVE your dressing, you look stunning in it! Your mom, well, she is the BOMB!!! She could knock out any red carpet with her clothing choice! I am so glad you were able to have fun! Seeing the smile of yours glowing is all I needed to make my Sunday complete!

I hope your insurance needs get all straightened out. What a hassle that with all you have been through, you have to deal with insurance problems. I know you will come shining out on top...just no other choice for Miss Nancy. No matter how hard the challenge is, you always rise to the occasion and outshine us all.

I can't believe you are moving back HOME on Tuesday. What a momentous occasion for you all. The kids and I were talking about it this morning and we are just in awe of you and all you have been through. God sure knows how to choose his Disciples. I know He is looking down knowing he chose the perfect one to climb this mountain and continue to blossom. You are amazing!

We love you so much. Please give your mom and dad a HUGE hug for me. Take good care and know that we are praying that this next week will be a great new start to your new life!

Love and Blessings,

Debbie

I don't think I'll let you and Lynne go shopping together for both Scott and I's sake. She never intends to buy anything at the mall, but miraculously there will be a sale that she just can't pass up! lol. And don't get me started on shoes or purses-she's got enough for a medium sized village in Africa!;)
You both look great! Enjoy the Oscars!
