You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

Good Sunday Morning

Hello!

It looks like it will be a beautiful day here today. It has been SO cold, so a few days in the 50's seems like HEAVEN! I am hoping to get out to church with Mom this morning, but it will depend on how long my IV runs. I certainly didn't miss getting up in the middle of the night to take an IV, oh well!

Yesterday we took a trip to Target. This was only my second time in a Target, but my friend Cammi loves it, so I thought I should check it out. Please correct me if I am wrong, but it seemed kind of like Walmart, is that the case or am I missing something? I did purchase a great new purse with lots of compartments to organize all of the things I have to carry around with me every day.  I thought I had to carry a lot when Hannah was a baby, now I have just graduated to an adult "diaper bag".

A horrible thing happened while I was writing this post, I threw up on my laptop (sorry to be gross!)  My lungs have been irritated since the bronch and out of the blue I coughed and brought up breakfast.  I am just sick because it appears as though my keyboard is ruined, it isn't typing correctly, I just want to cry.  I keep hoping that when it dries it will work again.  I can't imagine not having my computer, it is my life line.  Dad was kind enough to let me finish this post on his computer.

I have a lot saved on that computer including both of my books and the beginning of book 3, please pray I didn't ruin it!  Thank you!  Nancy

i did the coffee spill thing on my keyboard a while back, and it was over. i was, like you, terribly upset, as i try to be SO careful.
glad you went on the Tar-get expedition. Have only been there once and i would agree to the Walmart comparison.
your computer will be fine; your keyboard may have to be replaced, but you have a lot of company!!!
much luv as always.

Oh no! Your computer! I had the same thing happen with my old laptop - a Sprite erupted upon opening and spilled all into the keyboard. It wasn't fixable (not for the price of a new laptop anyway) but I took it to a computer repairman who was able to save everything from my hard drive to a dvd so I could download it to my new one. Phew! NOW I have a laptop keyboard cover to avoid such things (it's kind of like fitted saran wrap.)

I'm still GIDDY over the package you brought this weekend. I just can't believe the time and energy you must have spent to create such a thoughtful gift. You are so dear to me. THANK YOU!

Good luck on your appointments this week and best wishes on another great visit home, if you're able!

Have a great week!
P.S. To me, Target is a trendier Wal-mart with less crowds and less junk. I love all the designer knock-offs. Truth be told, it's a little more expensive than Walmart, though. In CA, it's difficult to get a parking place at a Walmart, so I've become very partial to Target and it's one of my true loves, I must admit! My mom's Wal-mart is much nicer than mine so I think I've just been ruined by living by a junky one!

Oh no Nancy. I am so sorry about your computer. That completely stinks. Hopefully it is just the keyboard and the hard drive is ok. It amazes me sometime to wonder what we all did before we had our computers with our entire lives on them. We thought ours was crashing a few weeks ago and were sick to think of all we would loose, like first birthday pictures we had not yet backed up.

I am glad you are doing well and your bronch went well, sorry it leaves your lungs irritated. I am also glad that you will be able to get your surgery before going home so that you can just BE HOME!

Now, I must say that I too am a Target addict. It doesn't help that we live right next to one. They do tend to be nicer than most of the Walmarts around here. I love that lots of their kids stuff is designed to look like Pottery Barn Kids, which I love but can only afford on clearance. Walmart can definately be cheaper for the household items though.

I hope you have a super week Nancy. You remain in my thoughts and prayers every day!!

Lots of love and hugs,
Amy

Hey,
Sorry about the keyboard! God willing it will keep working.

Megan is a Target Queen. I think she goes everday. I almost never go-I guess because the closest one is in Buffalo. But you can find some great deals there--and some cute clothes too.

Well, I have to get going. So sorry I have not been blogging regularly--Can you believe the kids are still ill!
Love You XXXOOO!
