You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

Prayer Requests

Dear friends,

I have two special prayer requests for you. First, for my friend Jamie. She is currently in the hospital at UPMC with a lung infection. She is about to celebrate her 1 1/2 year transplant anniversary. Please pray that she will heal quickly and be able to go home. Please also pray that her husband Bryan will still have a job when they return to Arizona.

Several of you have asked about my friend Cammi. She is still waiting for lungs. She is stable, thank God, but needs those lungs as soon as possible. I know her miracle is coming, but she needs all the prayers she can get.

Thank you all so much, I know how powerful your prayers are! Love, Nancy

Nancy,

Thank you for that nice gesture to remember me in your prayers and the prayers of your friends! Luckily I have been feeling well. I have a few bad days in between the good ones but overall, I feel blessed! I just can't believe it's been seven months. I never imagined we would be here this long! Luckily, Pittsburgh is a pretty nice place to live! So, we all just keep hanging in there and try to live each day to the fullest. Some days I rest a lot but somedays we get out and have lots of fun!

I met Jamie at clinic last Thursday. She looked SO GOOD! What a cute girl! I just couldn't believe it when I saw her blog that she had an infection because she looked so healthy and strong the day before! I hope it wasn't an infection from her bronch! Yikes! Anyway, I hope she recovers quickly! I'll keep her in my prayers.

Let's chat soon! I want to catch up on all that you are doing!

Thinking of you lots. It brings me SO MUCH joy to see the posts that say you are feeling GREAT! I love it! Keep up the great work!

Ahhhh...you both are soooo sweet! Thank you so much Nancy~ I am feeling tons better and hopefully I'm out of here in a week or so. They just want to make sure they get rid of any infection.

I did meet Cammi~ I couldn't believe how good she looked for needing a transplant! She seemed so sweet & I really hope she gets lungs soon. I do think my infection was somehow stirred up from the bronch~ but I am feeling like myself again quickly. Not too bad to only have this stumbling block in the last 14 months or so!
I'm happy you got to have a good time last time you were in Pitt! You look sooooo beautiful!
Thanks again~Love Ya!
