Okay, it is time to reveal what I have been preparing for. This Saturday we leave for an amazing family vacation. When I say family, I mean the WHOLE family, my parents, Scott's mom, and Leslie, Jeff, Lydia, and Simon.
Vacation is a word that is seldom spoken pre-transplant. As you know, last summer when we went to the ocean it had been 3 years since we had gone on vacation. There is no escape when you are sick like I was. It is too difficult to go anywhere with oxygen and I certainly wouldn't have enjoyed a vacation then.
Now that I am healthy again, we want to make up for lost time and really enjoy each moment of health that I am given (that health could be taken away at any time). To celebrate my ability to live, travel, and vacation again our family is going on a CRUISE (thank you to our family for providing financial support to make this trip possible for us!)
We will be leaving out of the Port of Miami on Sunday on the Carnival Valor headed for the Western Caribbean. Our trip takes us to the Grand Cayman Islands, Isla Roatan, Belize, and Cozumel.
I am so excited I can barely stand it! So, the next few days will be SUPER busy preparing and then we will be on our way. I will be out of touch for a couple of weeks, but will look forward to sharing our adventures and of course pictures when we return.
Please pray that I stay healthy on the trip, I am a little nervous about that, but have put it in God's capable hands and trust that He will keep me safe while we are on vacation!
God bless you all! Nancy
P.S. Don't worry about our sweet animals, we have awesome house-sitters taking care of them! : ) Thanks Kara and Steve!
Welcome friends and family!
Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!
It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.
My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.
