You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

I Need a Little Umph!

Hello!

I keep hoping I'm going to wake up one morning and just feel great, hop out of bead ready and raring to start the day. So far, no such luck, but I am not giving up on that dream.

I had a visitor today, my friend Ruth, which always brings me joy. My mother-in-law cleaned the bathrooms, so that made my day as well, nothing like a clean bathroom!

That is all to report. Hannah and I are on our own for dinner, so I have to come up with something good for us to eat, oh the pressure!

Hope you had a great day! Nancy

Hi Nancy,
Your poor feet. That looks painful. I hope tomorrow, and each day, you wake up feeling better and better. It will be so great for you and Hannah to get to spend some fun time together during sping break. Ours is already over and went by in such a flash. Alex is now at the age where he plays with friends so much of the time, we feel like he has moved out sometimes.

Hope you found something yummy to make for dinner.

Lots of love, thoughts and prayers going your way!

I know how frustrating it must be to not be able to jump outta bed and feel well. You are being such a champ about it! So happy to hear your spirits are still up...it definitely gets ya through it :-)

Oh Nancy, I know the feeling! Wouldn't it be great to wake up with UMPH! It will happen for you soon. You had a big hurdle last week! Give yourself a week or two to heal. You really are doing great!
You're right - clean bathrooms do lift the spirits. So do clean sheets! Funny how little things make a difference. Hopefully this rainy weather will pass soon because the warmth and the sunshine do a soul good, too!
