You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

Another Great Feis Weekend!

Saturday, June 5 in Hamburg, NY at the Buffalo Feis

Hannah and her friend Amber

 Look at all those Medals!

Great job, Hannah Marie!

We spent this past weekend in Buffalo, NY for the Buffalo Feis.  We were nervous about this feis, because Hannah would be competing against many of her Irish Dance School classmates.  It was fun to see so many Rince Na Tiarna dresses, the other feis we have attended have had very few girls from our school.

Hannah danced in 5 dances, and you can tell from the picture, she placed in 4.  Here were the results:

2nd in the Reel
1st in the Slip Jig
1st in the Hop Jig
4th in the Light Jig
6th in the Treble Jig (this was her first time competing in this dance and she got 6th out of 21, we were very proud of her!)

We decided to spend the night in Buffalo, since Hannah had her last dance class on Sunday morning.  We met up with a family whose father has CF and had a transplant in Cleveland almost 7 months ago.  Bill's wife, Deborah, found my blog before they listed, and we have been keeping in touch via e-mail.  They have a 10 year old daughter, Mikaela, so we have a lot in common.  We met them for dinner and it was so nice to finally get to talk face to face and share our stories.  Bill is doing great and was a pleasure to talk to.  I had been communicating with his wife Deborah for all these months.

What a blessing this blog has been for me, I can't tell you the amazing and wonderful friends I have made through it.  Please pray that Bill continues to improve.  He has been struggling with some mild rejection like I did, so please send up some prayers for him and his wonderful family!  We are hoping to have them down in July for a visit so they can do some blueberry picking, I can't wait!

So, as you can tell, it was a wonderful weekend!  Praise the Lord!
