You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

Something Wonderful Is Coming...

It has been 4 years since I have been home to Jackson Hole.  The last time I was there, the altitude was just too much for me, that was the summer of 2006.  Of course, in 2007, I started the downward spiral of end stage CF and was too sick to fly any longer.

I can't begin to tell you how much I have missed my home.  I cry every time we fly into the mountains and I see that valley at the base of the Grand Tetons.  Growing up there was incredible!

On June 29 I will get the chance to see my beloved Jackson again, what an amazing miracle!

That isn't the best part, however.  I get to share the home where my brother, Brian, and I grew up with his children, Amber, Brian, and Michael!

Hannah and I have never met my niece and nephews, so we are SO EXCITED!  We will be flying to Indianapolis to pick them up, then taking them with us to Jackson for the week.  I am so grateful to their mom, Jodi, for entrusting me with their care!

So, I have two absolutely WONDERFUL things to look forward to at the end of this month!

God is SO GOOD!

Nancy,

I am so happy for you! What an awesome trip you have coming up. You are going HOME to beautiful Jackson, Wyoming! I know you have been waiting for this for so long and I am so happy for you! Selfishly, I am a little sad though too as we will not be there at the same time this year. :( I know you will have a great time and I hope your first trip home in four years is the best visit ever! You deserve it!

I love you!

We are so thrilled that you are coming to Jackson - we can hardly wait to see you! And we too will meet Brian, Amber and Michael.

We too wish that you and Deb would be here at the same time.

The decorating on your patio is delightful!

Looking forward to seeing you in another month.

Love, Dick and Judy
