You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

We are home!

I was released yesterday around 2:00, there were some problems because no one had ordered home IV antibiotics for me, but they were taken care of and we were finally able to leave. I slept the whole way home in the car, so it was an uneventful trip.

I am very tired, but glad to be home, even if it will only be for a brief time.

My friend,
I've been following your journey every day. I'm glad you're home! Home always brings a special comfort that no other place can give. I hope you can soak it all in until you are able to return from your transplant. I was so touched by your last prayer request. Please know that my prayers went out last night for the one who will aid in giving you new lungs. You are constantly in my thoughts and prayers - constantly. I love you, dear friend.

Hi Nance!
There is no place like HOME!! I am glad that you are able to spend some time in your home although it will be brief. Thank you for keeping us up to date on your blog. You are loved by so many and being prayed for continually. I will definitely keep the person in my prayers who will ultimately give you new life. You are just so amazing and your unselfishness is so unique and touches my heart in so many ways. I have a strong feeling that there are many out there who strive to be like you with the example that you lead. I love you Nance! May God Bless you always!

Love,

Debbie

PS What do you say we catch New Kids on the Block in Concert after your transplant? :)

Nancy,
Debbie sent me your blog site, and she's right. You are an inspiration to everyone. Even though we didn't get to know each other very well in high school, you and your family are in my prayers and I wish you all the best.

Love,
Amy Crawford
