You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

Tied Up Grama

When I awoke from my nap today, I found a CRAZY sight. My poor little mother was tied up in a chair, tape over her mouth and all. I guess at the mention of a much needed bath, Hannah mutinied; she must be starting to feel better. : )

See all the fun I was missing in Pittsburgh? I have started a new inhaled antibiotic to hopefully keep my lungs infection free without the IVs. The only negative to this new drug is that is smells and tastes like cat pee (or at least what I imagine cat pee would taste like). Lucky ME!

Hope you are having a great day today! Nancy

What a HOOT! How sweet of your mom to play the role of captive! Please tell Hannah, however, to choose another line of work. She'd never make it in law enforcement. Cute pictures, Nance! Thanks for sharing.

I'm glad you're able to be home to enjoy the fun. If you put a little Rum with that antibiotic, it might taste a little better. Just a thought. :)
Love,
Deb

Hi Nancy!
Your mom might want to head back to Pittsburgh soon! :) I loved the picture. Don't you just love how our kiddos use their imaginations at someone else's expense?! What a trooper your mom is! I am glad Hannah is getting to spend some good time with your parents as well. Good luck with your antibiotic--sounds very appealing! :) Hang in there and take good care of yourself!

Love you,

Deb
