You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

We're Home

Hello! Sorry to keep you all hanging. We did come home yesterday and even made it in time to see Hannah perform in her end of the year Irish Dance recital (she did a great job and got an award for "Most Improved Dancer"). I will post some pictures of the recital soon.

I spent today resting, I am very tired, but it feels so good to be home, even if it is only temporarily.

I will keep you informed of any changes in my transplant status.

All my love! Nancy

I was starting to get a little worried about you my sweet Nancy! Thanks for the update. I am so glad you made it home and how wonderful that you got to see Hannah perform. I am sure it meant a lot to her! Hang in there and enjoy this "short" time at home. I just have a feeling that your lungs will be coming so soon. Greet everyone for us!

With our love and heartfelt prayers,

Debbie

Hi Nancy,
Glad you made it home safe and sound. I'm sure it must be so nice to be with Scott and Hannah. I think you needed that little boost.
Rest up, my friend, your new lungs are coming soon.
Love you!
Deb

Hi Nancy,

I found the link to your blog on the SBU Notice Board. I had you five years ago for University 101: The Meaning of Life. I am now, five years later, finishing up my MBA, but will never forget you or your class. I just wanted to let you know what a large impact you had on me during my first semester at SBU, which continued on throughout my college years. Your grace and your strength while dealing with such an awful disease continues to astound and humble me. There are few people like you in this world!

I sincerely wish you ALL the BEST and will continue to pray for you and your family during this "valley." Mountains are ahead!!
