You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

PCS is the BEST!

Once again my friends at Portville Central School have sent a special surprise for me. Hannah brought me this huge poster signed by students and teachers. We hung it up in my bedroom to remind me how much my community loves me. Thank you all so much!

Hannah and Scott are getting ready to head home this morning. I am feeling sad, but will look forward to their next visit hopefully in two weeks. Please pray for their safe travels.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Love, Nancy

Hi Nancy!

That poster is awesome! How amazing that you have such a great community rallying behind you every step of the way!

I am so glad you had a GREAT visit with Hannah and Scott!! I know you will miss them, but every day that you get better, is a day closer that you will be able to head home for good and start your life again with your beautiful family!

We continue to pray for you and your strength to get through the recovery process. One day at a time Nance! Take good care and know that we love you all!

Love,

Debbie

OH MY GOODNESS - that is a HUGE sign. OF LOVE! How sweet of them to send you all their good wishes. So sad that Hannah and Scott are already on their way home - too quick of a visit! Hopefully the two weeks will go quickly - and maybe you'll be strong enough for some outings by that point! Hope you are feeling well and getting a good mix of getting stronger and resting!

Not only is the poster great, you look wonderful. Hard to believe you had surgery 3 weeks and 3 days ago.Apparently your swelled face went away.

Hope all the sick folks back home rally and can come and visit you soon.

Can't remember the dates, but isn't the gal who had her surgery a year before yours coming for a checkup soon? It would be wonderful if you are able to meet.

Nancy,
The teachers at Portville elementary were so happy to hear of your miracle that we had the kiddos sign a get well card. Leah signed her name a couple of times:) Your community DOES love you and is pulling for you every step of the way! We can't wait to see you back in our school... Have a wonderful, restful week. You continue to amaze us all:) Love Lynne
