You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

Birthdays are for Celebrating

Every year, for as long as I can remember, I have looked forward to my Birthday. My parents always made a big deal about our Birthdays and I always had a big party. Obviously, the parties have become fewer, but the excitement and anticipation have never died. It is the one time in the year no one in my family can complain about having meatloaf, Kraft macaroni and cheese, and corn (my traditional Birthday meal). It is a day that is all about me, and I LOVE it!

It saddens me, as we get older, how our Birthdays almost become a dreaded thing. 30 is quite traumatic for some people, kind of like the milestone between youth and maturity.

Our Birthdays should always be a time to celebrate, whether we are 2 or 82. It is a time to give thanks for the years we've had and the blessing of life. It should be a time to reflect on where we've been and where we hope to go. To remember the good times and thank God we made it through the bad times.

So, this year, really cherish your Birthday, I know God certainly does!

Happy 40th Birthday today to my dear sister-in-law Leslie, I love you! Nancy

Hi Nancy!

What a wonderful slide show! You were just so adorable as a little girl. There is one thing that remains the same with you throughout all pictures and that is your radiant smile! I am not sure I had seen any of those pictures. And might I add that your parents are adorable in the pictures too. What fond memories of growing up in beautiful Jackson Hole, WY. I hope your birthday celebration is a very happy and fantastic one. You deserve to be pampered and loved! You are right, it is a day about YOU and celebrating your glorious life. I hope you have a great day. Please know that we will be thinking of you on your special day and every day to follow! We love you Nancy! We hope year 34 is the best one yet!

Love you,

Debbie
