You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

Prayers for my friend Cammi & her family

Dear friends, I would like to introduce you to my CF Mom friend, Cammi. She and I connected a few months ago and are both awaiting lungs at UPMC. She has become a dear and special friend who I have been able to confide in, cry with, and just share experiences and stories. Cammi is a wife and mother to two beautiful 6 year olds and they need her every bit as much as Hannah needs me.

Cammi and her family are in the process of preparing to move to Pittsburgh. This is an extremely difficult venture, especially in Cammi's current medical condition, so they need your prayers. Once Cammi arrives in Pittsburgh, she will be at the top of her list and will hopefully get called for lungs soon. I am hopeful we may both be recovering with new lungs at the same time.

Cammi and her family have sent so many prayers my way, now I ask you to please do the same for them. Her family needs her!

Thank you all! Tons of my love! Nancy

Hi Nancy!

What a beautiful family. We will definitely keep Cammi and her entire family in our prayers.

I can only imagine how wonderful it is to connect with someone who is experiencing the same things that you go through. It is good to know that you can share your daily struggles and your triumphs with someone who truly understands and knows how you are feeling. God Bless you both and we will pray that new lungs come your way soon as well as for Cammi.

Thank you again for all you do for us who are so lucky and blessed to call you our friend! I love you Nancy!

Love,

Debbie

Nancy,

I am touched that you would so thoughtfully ask your friends to add me to their prayers. I will gratefully embrace all of their thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much. Your compassionate spirit has helped me so much through this experience.

We will also continue our thoughts and prayers for YOU! It looks like my mom's neighbor (and my friend) Christine already commented on the blog...so we're adding friends to your prayer base, too! All this love will certainly comfort both our souls.

Much love to you Nancy!

I can tell you that Cammi is the most loving, dedicated mother, wife and daughter... and genuine friend to me. I feel in my heart that she is going to do so well through this journey. Prayers definitely are in order, both for you and Cammi.
Much love, Amanda

Many prayers are being said for her and her family as well as you and yours. I'm sure you have been such great support for each other. There aren't too many people that can say they completely understand what you are going through. It is wonderful that you can do that for each other. Take care tonight and know you are loved and thought of often.

Love and hugs,
Amy
