You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

I'm OK!

I know many of you are probably worried about how I am doing, but I want to assure you, other than being exhausted, I am really doing okay. I am more sad than anything about the loss of the donor and the grief her family must be experiencing. Please keep them in your prayers.

I wanted to say a special thank you to my Angel Flight pilots, Joe DeMarco and his partner who donated their plane and afternoon to get us to Pittsburgh. These pilots are true angels and they made our flight comfortable and enjoyable. God bless you both!

This week's song is dedicated to Scott. I hope all of you get to experience the kind of love I have felt from my wonderful husband. Through all of this he has been by my side, holding my hand, and smiling supportively. As scared as I was, he was my rock and never faltered! I love him more than words could ever say.
Keep those prayers coming! Love to you all! Nancy

Hi Nancy!

Once again I am blown away by your strength and courage through all of this. You continue to hold your head high through all of the struggles. Your spirit, your smile, and your bravery is such a huge testament to who you are and what you are made of. I am honored to call you my friend and so blessed to have you in my life.

Your flight to Pittsburgh looked beautiful. All those fall colors was worth the trip right?!

I have always held Scott in such high regard as well. I think he is an amazing person and you are so blessed to have him by your side!

Take good care and thank you so much for reassuring us that you are doing o.k. My heart is so happy knowing that you are doing well. I know this dry run is just another step toward your journey to new lungs. And you hurdled it with leaps and bounds and still have that beautiful smile afterwards to reassure us all! You are like no one I have ever known! I love you Nancy. May you have a restful and peaceful week!

I love you!

Nancy,
I have to echo everything Debbie said in her last posting. You're courage and strength is unbelievable! I recently taught a class for new teachers, and one of the opening questions was to share with the group who you admire most in the world. I just wanted you to know that I picked you. I then shared your story and pulled up your blog on the screen. Everyone was touched by your story. You are truly an inspiration - an incredible earth angel.
I love you!

Hi Nancy,
You definately are amazing. Your practice run was absolutely beautiful. You definately live in an extrodinary place and it must have been so amazing to get a birds eye view off it all. The pilots are wonderful and I am so happy that you have such a wonderful family and husband there with you through it all. I wish we could be there too. We love you and are praying for the next call, the real deal!

Lots of love and hugs,
Amy
