You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

A Fun Day with the Stohl/Bradys

Hannah and my parents had a wonderful afternoon with Cammi's Family.

Hannah is already looking forward to a trip to the Science Center

with Carter and Reilly later this week.

Vance, Ann, Judy, and Dennis
Reilly, Hannah, & Carter

Lance and Cammi

I stayed home and enjoyed a nice nap.

Scott left around 10:00 and got home safely, thank goodness, I miss him already.

I didn't get a chance to tell you that I had a special visitor the day after Christmas. Sister Margaret Carney, the President of SBU grew up in Pittsburgh, so she is here for the holidays. She came to visit and it was so lovely to see her. She has always been so supportive of me and I was touched that she would take time away from her family to see me and my family. The St. Bonaventure family has been so supportive and good to me, I feel very blessed to have made so many wonderful friends while I worked there.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! My love to you all! Nancy

What great pics Nancy! It looks like everyone had a great day at the park! How fun for your parents to meet Cammi and her family. I hope one day you and Cammi can spend some quality time together!

Cammi's family is absolutely beautiful. I hope she is blessed with the same miracle as you were. What a great support system you are for each other!

I hope Hannah continues to have fun exploring Pittsburgh! Get some good rest and keep that healing going! Keep strong and keep that beautiful smile of yours a beaming!

We love you all. Love and hugs to Hannah and your parents as well.

Love you,

Debbie

We had a fun afternoon with your parents and Hannah. Your parents are wonderful - just what we expected. We felt like we already knew them through your blog.
We missed you. I hope we can all get together sometime in the future. Thank you for being a great support for Cammi and for all of us. Your mom said you were walking the halls and up stairs - amazing! Keep up the good work!

Looks like everything is going wonderfully well! The pictures are just so great to see, and the smiles on every face say it all.

Congratulations on 36 years, Vance & Ann! You have been through an intense ordeal, and your faith is a testimony to others.

We're continuing to pray for you, Nancy! There were tears all around St. Patrick's church when we took in some of your photos! We all feel like we know you.

Keep up that positive outlook and that sunny smile, Nancy.

Your friends in Oregon,
Jan & Dan Blair
