You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

THE SURGERY IS COMPLETE!!!

The surgeon just came to let us know that the surgery went well and that Nancy did well.  They should be bringing her to post op and we may be able to see her in about an hour!!  What can I say, we are all in awe of the talent and skill of these remarkable surgeons and the life giving technology that exists today!  I'll post again after we have had an opportunity to see her.  She's on the other side of the mountain now and though there will be some peaks and valleys ahead over the next few days, she has the will and the spiritual strength to finish the journey and I know all of your love and support will make a huge difference in how quickly she recovers.  I'm sooo relieved and gratified just knowing the surgery is over!

Nancy's Dad and proud of it!
Vance

What a relief! I have been so preoccupied all day thinking about Nancy! It is an absolute miracle that this happened to her, and I am hoping that her recovery goes smoothly. So wonderful that she has such a great loving family to help her in her recovery. We are all thinking about you ALL here, and know that you must be overjoyed for Nancy to have this gift.

Much love to you all (even though you have no idea who I am!)

God is so GOOD!!!! We at PCS learned about your news this morning and we were so pleased that our prayers for you had been answered, and now we pray for your recovery. Mike and I shared at church tonight that you were having your surgery, however at that time we didn't know it was complete. We have had you on our prayer list at West Clarksville Baptist Church for months, so they were all pleased to hear our news to answered prayer.
God Bless and love to all.
