You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

HANG IN THERE, NANCY IS JUST NOW BEING MOVED TO HER NEW ROOM!

What a shock when Ann and I arrived on the 9th floor a short time ago to be told that Nancy still hadn't been moved from ICU!!  Apparently there was a delay for some reason, but we won't know why until she arrives here and they get her settled.  There is a comfortable lounge on this floor with a wonderful view out over the city where we are desperately trying to be patient awaiting her arrival.

Knowing Nancy, I am certain she is beside herself having to wait 12 hours to be moved to this room, given that they told us last night at 10 that as soon as all her medications had emptied a room was ready and waiting for her.  But Nancy is also accustomed to how long it often REALLY takes, so I'm certain she is taking it in stride.   Ann and I just hope she has been able to get some sleep as we both know how tired she was when we left her last night.

My guess is she will be wanting to rest as much as possible today, so I wouldn't expect her to put anything on the blog today, but we'll just have to wait and see how she's feeling and whether she is able to do so.  Meanwhile, I'll try to keep you updated until such time as she is ready to take the reins!  So sorry to keep you all waiting as I know how much you are all looking forward to hearing from her again.  Believe me when I say we are just as disappointed as you are.   I cannot wait to share all your entries with her...she is going to be so thrilled to be able to read and respond to them all as she feels up to it!!

Keep smiling, keep praying, it will all happen when the time is right...we've waited this long, another day is nothing compared to how long we've all waited for these moments of joy to come!

You won't have to put up with my post too much longer, so just bear with me!

Love,

Nancy's Dad

Vance

We all know that Nancy is used to "hospital time" with all the various trips she has made. She will be there soon and she will be overjoyed to get some good, quiet rest! We are always thinking and praying for you. And I agree with Bridgette, we love putting up with you Vance and enjoy having you update us all!

Be patient, stay strong, and take good care. We love you all!

Love,

Debbie and Family

We are just grateful that you have the ability to and DO update us. We love your writings just as much. Relax and be calm. Remember that this will all take time and these are little bitty speed bumps along the way. We love you and love Nancy and sooo cant wait for her to be up and bouncing again!
