You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

UPDATE NANCY IS AMAZING!

Not only is Nancy sitting up, but she has a clipboard, pen, and paper and is able to write what she wants to say as well as make hand and arm motions to say she loves us...very moving and gratifying to see how quickly she is returning to normal.   She is able to hold our hand and squeeze it...we didn't stay long because we don't want to exhaust her anymore than necessary but we will get back in to see her again after lunch!  So great to see the level of interest and concern to follow her progress and I shared with her how many messages, phone calls, and emails are coming in that I will share with her when she is out of ICU and in a normal hospital room.  The level of euphoria I feel is matched by your collective outpouring of love and support!

Nancy's Dad is humbled by the presence of so much love!

Awesome awesome awesome!!!! What a fabulous way to start my day! As a parent I can only imagine what you and your wife must be feeling to have your child be given a second chance at life like this, when you must have been worrying if it would ever happen.

We raised our glasses and toasted Nancy at dinner last night, even though we have never met her, and had a very good discussion about what organ donation means, and how everyone should be an organ donor. I think our kids get it now!

Please give Nancy my love, and tell her I am thinking about here every moment, and hungry for any more news about her amazing progress!

Much love to your whole family,
Claire xoxo

We are so excited about Nancy's progress. I understand how excited you must be about Nancy's precious gift of live saving lungs. I am Cammi Brady's Dad and have experienced many of the same hopes and dreams for her as you have for Nancy. Thanks for the updates on Nancy's condition. I can't read them without shedding tears of joy.

A couple of months ago while visiting Cammi and her family in Mt. View California, I got to bless the food at breafast. When I finished, Cammi's 6 year old son said; Grandpa, you forgot to pray for Nancy.

May Heavenly Father bless Nancy with a with a quick and successful recovery. Dennis and Judy Stohl
