You've Been Given the Gift of Life, Give it Back!

Welcome friends and family!

Thank you for visiting my blog. It documents my amazing journey from pre to post double lung transplant. I am a 37 year old mother and wife with Cystic Fibrosis who has been more greatly blessed than I could ever imagine possible!

It has been a bumpy ride, but God has given me strength, love, friendship, and, FINALLY, health. My prayers have been answered, my miracle was granted, and I want to share the joy of my new life with you.

If you are a first time visitor, please take a moment to watch The Miracle of Transplantation video below. To me, pictures speak a thousand words.

My entries begin in April of 2008 and my double lung transplant was December 10. Scroll down to my blog archive and you can read from the beginning or jump around. If you are looking for a specific topic, you can use the search engine.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or feedback, I would love to hear from you!

I hope I can help you to experience the love God has for each and every one of us!

May God Bless You with Miracles in Your Life! Nancy

SAYING GOODBYE TO ICU!

As the 10 o'clock hour came Ann and I had to leave ICU for the last time.  There was a room waiting for Nancy on the 9th floor of the hospital, but they were waiting to move her until all the medications were completed and the intravenous line that you may have noticed coming from her neck is removed.  They installed a new pic line in her right arm to replace the one in her neck.  They were unable to use her mediport (sp?) due to the fear of infection.

As we left her in ICU for the last time, she was extremely tired and in and out of sleep so we are hopeful it wasn't too long after we left her that she was moved to her new room where we will see her tomorrow.  If she is well enough and able to do so, she may be able to post to the blog tomorrow for the first time since surgery.  I cannot wait for her to be able to read all the wonderful comments you have shared for herself.  I know how very much each and every one of them will mean to her!

Many thanks to all of you for your kindness and support to Ann and me during the many hours, days, and months it has taken to get us to this point and I will very gladly turn this over to Nancy's able hands as soon as she is ready to take back the reins and drive this sleigh the rest of the journey she is making and sharing with all of us!

Much love to all!
